What is Ramp Rivals?

Ramp Rivals is a 3D arcade stunt racing game where you start last of six cars and fight your way past five AI rivals over jumps, loops and moving traps. Each sprint is 1.5 to 2.4 km, about 30 to 50 seconds, so one mistake matters. Nitro comes in three cells you earn back in the air and in drifts, and the 24 races travel from a giant playroom through a neon city and a sky circuit with open edges to a slippery candy canyon.

How to play Ramp Rivals

Goal: Finish in the top 3 to open the next race, and win it outright for all 3 stars and the biggest coin prize.

  1. Hold the race view (or ↑/W) after the 3-2-1 countdown to accelerate from the back of the grid.
  2. Drag left or right while you hold, or use ←/→, to pick a line around cones, hammers and rollers.
  3. Tap NITRO (Space) on a straight to burn one full cell for 2 seconds of extra speed.
  4. Fly off the ramps and touch down nearly flat to refill nitro, then keep your speed up through loops.
  5. Cross the line in the top 3 and spend your prize coins on upgrades or a faster car.

Tips & tricks

  1. Hit the ramp straight: a landing within about 13° of the road after half a second of air gives back a third of a nitro cell.
  2. If a hammer has just swung past, drive through the side it came from; the head will not be back for a moment.
  3. Wait until a boost pad's 1.2-second push has faded before you tap nitro, because the two never add up.
  4. Carry at least 54 km/h into the top of every loop, so save a nitro cell when a loop follows a slow corner.
  5. In Candy Canyon steer early and gently: the icing leaves only 22% of normal grip.
  6. A rival more than 70 m ahead of you loses up to 4% of top speed, so a clean final straight can still steal a podium place.

Frequently asked questions

How do you stay on a loop in Ramp Rivals?

Keep your speed above about 54 km/h at the very top. Below that the car drops off and is put back on the road past the loop after a short pause, at only 47 km/h. Keep the gas held through the whole climb, and fire a nitro cell before a loop that comes right after a slow section.

Do you have to win a race to unlock the next one in Ramp Rivals?

No, a top 3 finish is enough. Third place gives 1 star and opens the next race, second gives 2 stars, and only a win earns all 3. Your best result per race is kept, so you can return later with an upgraded car to turn a podium into a win.

How much does a win pay in Ramp Rivals?

A win pays 300 coins in the Playroom, and later worlds multiply every prize: x1.3 in Neon Grid, x1.6 in Cloud Circuit and x2 in Candy Canyon, so a canyon win is worth 600. Each coin you collect on the track adds 5 more.

What makes Cloud Circuit harder in Ramp Rivals?

The sky tracks lose their walls, so a wide line can fall off the edge. Bends are banked, side wind zones push the car sideways up to 6 m/s², and spinning sweeper bars cross the road. A fall costs almost a second before you are put back on plain road.

How many stars are there to collect in Ramp Rivals?

There are 72: three for winning each of the 24 races. Stars also open the garage, with the Dune Hopper needing 15, the Viper GT 32 and the Falcon F 50, each on top of a coin price of 1,800, 3,600 and 6,500.

Can the hazards in Ramp Rivals block the whole road?

No. Every hammer, roller, sweeper and bollard always leaves at least one lane open at racing speed, and a test checks this for every race. If you get hit, the car spins for 0.8 s and cannot be hit again for 1.4 s, which gives you time to recover.
