What is Cabby Crossing?

Cabby Crossing is a one-button taxi game where you only control the pedal: the cab steers itself while you hold to drive and let go to stop, timing every crossing so nothing hits you. Each of the 24 shifts asks you to stop inside 7-metre kerb boxes for pickups and drop-offs, beat a tip timer worth half the fare, and reach the taxi stand. Traffic grows from lone cars in Downtown to 24 m trams in the Harbor and rainy Night City streets, so it is easy to start and tricky to master.

How to play Cabby Crossing

Goal: Finish each shift at the taxi stand with every passenger delivered and every tip earned, without touching a single vehicle or running the tank dry.

  1. Pick an open shift on the map. The card lists its passengers and crossings, and new levels unlock one by one.
  2. Hold Space, ↑, W, the mouse or a finger to roll forward. Let go and the taxi brakes to a full stop.
  3. Stop with the cab inside a yellow box to collect a rider, then inside their green box to drop them off.
  4. At each crossing, stop short and wait until the whole gap is clear. Any touch ends the shift with Crash!.
  5. Watch the Tip countdown on each rider's icon: arrive before it hits zero to earn half the fare extra.
  6. Reach the taxi stand to bank your coins and stars, then spend coins on new paint jobs in the garage.

Tips & tricks

  1. Count your braking distance before boxes: about 10 m from full speed, so let go when the box is roughly two cab lengths ahead.
  2. In Night City rain the stop takes about 16 m, so release the pedal sooner than you did in Downtown.
  3. Hear a whoosh and see Phew!? You passed within a metre of a car. Treat it as a warning and leave bigger gaps.
  4. On a level that starts with a low tank, head for the blue pump early: it fills 40% a second and you leave at 100%.
  5. When the barriers drop, a train or tram is about 4 seconds away. Stay stopped until they lift, even if the track looks empty.
  6. Missed a tip? Finish anyway for the coins, then replay: every finished shift adds its coins to your wallet again.

Frequently asked questions

What happens if you drive past a passenger in Cabby Crossing?

That fare is gone for this attempt. Rolling past a waiting rider shows Missed the passenger!, and passing a rider's green drop box shows Missed the stop!. You can still reach the taxi stand for one star, but two stars need every passenger delivered, so restart with R if you want the full set.

When do trains, trams and ducks appear in Cabby Crossing?

All three arrive in the Harbor district. Level 9 brings the first freight train and lorries, level 10 the first duck family on a zebra crossing and level 11 the first tram. Buses show up earlier, in level 5, and sports cars join from level 13.

How long do you have to earn a tip in Cabby Crossing?

Between 12 and 40 seconds of riding, depending on the passenger. The clock starts once the rider is in the cab and shows as a countdown on their icon. Stop in the green box before it runs out and the fare grows by half, which is also the only way to earn the third star.

What does Phew! mean in Cabby Crossing?

Phew! means a near miss: your moving taxi passed within about 0.9 metres of another vehicle. It costs nothing and does not end the shift, but it shows your timing was razor thin, so the same move a fraction later would have been a crash.

Can two passengers ride at once in Cabby Crossing?

Yes. From level 7, some shifts place a second pickup before the first rider's drop-off, so two people share the back seat. Each has a separate green box and tip timer, so plan which stop comes first along the road and keep both countdowns in sight.

How long does refuelling take in Cabby Crossing?

Only a few seconds. A blue pump adds 40% of the tank per second, and the cab stays parked until the gauge reads 100%, so even a nearly empty tank fills in about 2.5 seconds. Pumps appear on six shifts, starting with level 8.

How many stars can you collect in Cabby Crossing?

72 in total: three on each of the 24 shifts. One star comes from reaching the taxi stand, the second from delivering every passenger and the third from earning every tip. Your best result on each level is kept, so replaying never lowers it.
