What is Rocket Roadster?

Rocket Roadster is a 3D racing game where your supercar has rocket thrusters underneath, so when the road ends you simply fly over the gap. Each burn lasts up to 4.6 s at an 8 m cruise height, and a straight touchdown refills the energy you need for the next jump. The 12 levels move from a coastal highway through a neon city to a rocket test site, and they mix races against up to five AI cars with goals like 8 sky rings or 4 perfect landings.

How to play Rocket Roadster

Goal: Complete each level's first-star goal, such as a top-3 finish or 8 sky rings, to open the next one, then chase the two bonus stars.

  1. Accelerate with W and steer with A/D; Space fires a nitro boost on the straights.
  2. Above 72 km/h, hold Shift at a ramp or a broken bridge to lift off on the rocket.
  3. In the air, press S to climb, W to sink back to cruise height and Q/E to slide sideways through sky rings.
  4. Let go over solid road with the wheels pointing straight to land and refill rocket energy.
  5. Watch out for drones and barriers, grab SHIELD and energy pickups, and reach the finish before the time limit.

Tips & tricks

  1. If OVERHEAT flashes, the rocket stays dead for 1.4 s, so release Shift a moment before the 4.6 s limit when another gap is close.
  2. Fly over drones, not into them: a hit keeps only 60% of your speed and burns 15 rocket energy on top.
  3. Save a SHIELD for traffic levels like Traffic Mayhem; it turns one crash into a 10% speed loss.
  4. On Rocket Control there are no rivals, so take the slower high line through all 13 rings for the third star instead of rushing.
  5. Grab every blue crystal before a long gap: +35 energy covers well over a second of flight in the XR-1.
  6. Replay early levels with a clean run to collect the first-clear bonus once and stunt coins every time, up to 400 R per race.

Frequently asked questions

Which level in Rocket Roadster has no rivals?

Level 9, Rocket Control, in the Rocket Test Facility. It is a time trial where you race the clock alone and must fly through at least 8 sky rings to clear it, with 13 rings needed for the third star. It is the best place to practise climbing, sinking and sliding sideways in the air.

What happens when you hit a drone in Rocket Roadster?

The car bounces off and keeps only 60% of its speed, and a drone also drains 15 rocket energy. Barriers cost the same speed without the energy loss. Either hit breaks your combo, unless you are carrying a SHIELD, which absorbs the blow and leaves you with 90% of your speed.

Why does the rocket cut out early in Rocket Roadster?

It overheats. A single burn can last 4.6 seconds; at that point the rocket shuts off with an OVERHEAT warning and will not relight for 1.4 seconds, and you must press the button again. Running out of energy also cuts it, so plan long gaps with both limits in mind.

How much does a win pay in Rocket Roadster?

First place pays from 320 R-coins on level 1 up to 1,000 on level 12. Second place earns 75% of that, third 55%, down to 25% for sixth. Your first clear of a level adds another 60%, stunts add up to 400, and every coin you drive through is worth 5.

What do you need to finish the last level of Rocket Roadster?

Ultimate Rocket Race only counts as cleared if you win it against five rivals. Its bonus stars ask for a time under 94 seconds and 6 perfect landings. You start with 80 rocket energy, so landing cleanly to refill it between jumps is what keeps you in front.

Which levels in Rocket Roadster need perfect landings?

Level 10, Gravity Challenge, needs 4 perfect landings just to clear it, and you land on pads. Midnight Rivals asks for 4 as a bonus star, while Extreme Circuit and the final race each want 6. Release over the road with the wheels straight and level to score them.
