Sunset Coastal Drive
Race a red convertible down the coast before sundown, scoop up coins, money bags and road power-ups, and smash crates with nitro across five stages.
What is Sunset Coastal Drive?
Sunset Coastal Drive is a retro arcade racing game where you steer a red convertible along a three-lane coast road and race the clock to reach Sunset Pier before the sun goes down. The car drives itself forward, so your job is lane choice: coin lines, two money bags per stage and five kinds of road power-up sit between crates, rocks and traffic. Burn nitro and the car smashes through obstacles instead of crashing, and pit stops between the five stages turn your coins into upgrades.

How to play Sunset Coastal Drive
Goal: Reach each checkpoint before the timer runs out and arrive at Sunset Pier with lives to spare, ideally with no more than one crash.
- Press boost right as GO appears for a perfect start, then steer across the three lanes.
- Follow the coin lines and grab Clock, Magnet, Shield, Repair and Nitro power-ups when they show up.
- Hold boost to burn nitro when a wall of crates or a slow car blocks your lane and smash straight through.
- Brake or switch lanes when you are low on nitro, since a crash without a shield costs a life.
- At each pit stop, spend coins with keys 1 to 4 or a tap, then drive on to the next stage.

Tips & tricks
- The two money bags in each stage sit behind a wall of hazards; when you see four coins lined up in one lane with crates beside it, stay in that lane.
- Grab a Coin Magnet just before a wave of coins: for 9 s it pulls in money from the lanes next to you.
- If a lane of six coins leads straight into a crate, take the coins, then dodge at the last moment or boost through it.
- Stay on the asphalt: past the edge the car can't go faster than 120 km/h, and even nitro only lifts that to 192.
- Take every Clock, even if it means missing a few coins: +6 s keeps you ahead of the timer and is worth 600 points if it is still left at the finish.
- Buy the Engine early at the pit stop: 140 coins for +15 km/h that stays with you for every stage after it.
Frequently asked questions
What power-ups appear on the road in Sunset Coastal Drive?
There are five. The Nitro canister is the most common and adds 60 to the gauge. The Coin Magnet pulls in money for 9 seconds, the Shield blocks the next crash, the Clock adds 6 seconds and the rarer Repair gives back a life, up to the maximum of 3.
Where are the money bags in Sunset Coastal Drive?
Each stage has two, at roughly 40% and 80% of the way to the gate. Hazards block the other two lanes and four coins lead into the bag's lane, so spot the coins early. A bag is worth 250 points before the combo and adds 25 coins to your wallet.
What happens if you drive off the road in Sunset Coastal Drive?
The car slows down to at most 120 km/h, far below the 210 to 258 km/h cruising speed of the stages, and you lose time on the clock. Boosting raises the off-road limit only to 192 km/h, so steer back onto the asphalt as fast as you can.
Can you win back a lost life in Sunset Coastal Drive?
Yes, in two ways. A Repair power-up on the road adds one life at once, and the Repair card at every pit stop sells one for 70 coins. You can never hold more than 3 lives, so the card shows FULL when you have not crashed yet.
Why do some coin lines end in a crate in Sunset Coastal Drive?
Those are coin traps: a lane of six coins leads straight into a hazard, with a cash stack placed beside it. Collect the coins, then change lanes for the cash at the last moment, or hold boost and smash through the hazard for 150 extra points.
How long is each stage of Sunset Coastal Drive?
Each stage is longer than the last, growing from 1,400 road segments on Palm Beach to 1,900 on Sunset Pier, while the cruising speed rises from 210 to 258 km/h. The clock gives 48 seconds at the start and 40 to 42 more at each checkpoint, and unused seconds carry over.
