Lumen Grove
Lift one glowing orb per tap and wake 100 greenhouse groves: fill every glass tube with four orbs of a single color, from 2 colors up to 8.
What is Lumen Grove?
Lumen Grove is a ball sort game where you lift glowing orbs one at a time and drop them into glass tubes until every tube shines with four orbs of one color. There are always two more tubes than colors, from 2 colors in 4 tubes at the start to 8 colors in 10 tubes in the final Starbloom Dome chapter. Each orb also wears a white symbol, so a leaf or a crescent tells colors apart even on a dim screen.

How to play Lumen Grove
Goal: Restore each grove by filling every tube with four orbs of the same color, using as few moves as you can.
- Tap a tube to lift its top orb, then tap an empty tube or one with the same color on top to drop it there.
- Keep going one orb at a time: a tube holds 4 orbs, and every drop adds 1 to the move counter.
- Fill a tube with four matching orbs and a gold starbloom crowns it and locks it in place.
- When every tube is empty or crowned, the grove lights up and the next one on the list opens.

Tips & tricks
- Two tubes topped with the same color? Merge them before you touch an empty tube, so the spare stays free for later.
- Peek one orb deeper before lifting: if the orb underneath has an obvious home, that tube is the better pick.
- Hit Restart without fear: your old board sits one Undo away, so you can test a second opening and compare.
- Chasing a lower Best? Press Hint on your very first move; it points along a shortest route, so it checks your opening.
- In the 8-color groves, read the symbols instead of the shades: the lime leaf and the mint ring are easy to mix up.
Frequently asked questions
What are the five chapters of Lumen Grove?
Seedling Path, Fern Hollow, Moss Terrace, Lantern Canopy and Starbloom Dome, with 20 groves each. Seedling Path opens with 2 colors in 4 tubes, and fresh colors join at groves 6, 16, 31, 46, 61 and 81, so the final chapter spreads 8 colors over 10 tubes.
What do the white symbols on Lumen Grove orbs mean?
Each symbol belongs to one color: a plus on coral, a ring on mint, a triangle on amber, a crescent on lavender, a drop on sky blue, four petals on rose, a leaf on lime and a diamond on peach. Matching symbols works exactly like matching colors, which helps on dim screens and for color-blind players.
Does Lumen Grove have stars or a timer?
Neither. Instead of stars, the game keeps a Best for each grove: the fewest moves you have needed to restore it. Best sits beside the move counter and on the grove list, and the win screen celebrates a new one. With no clock and no fail state, you can think for as long as you like.
Can I take back a Restart in Lumen Grove?
Yes. Restart puts the grove back to its starting board, but your old position goes onto the Undo history first, so a single Undo brings it back. Undo has no limit and also lowers the move counter, so stepping back never spoils your Best.
How many moves does the hardest Lumen Grove grove need?
The shortest possible solution grows from 3 moves in grove 1 to 31 moves in grove 100. The game never shows that number, but Hint always follows a shortest route from the board you are on, so a run that only follows hints from the start finishes in the minimum.
How do I open the next grove in Lumen Grove?
Restore the one you are playing. Groves unlock strictly in order, and each locked tile on the grove list says which grove to finish first. Restored tiles show a small starbloom with your Best, and you can go back to any of them to replay it.
Which keyboard keys work in Lumen Grove?
Number keys 1 to 9 and 0 pick tubes 1 to 10, the arrow keys move between tubes, and Enter or Space lifts and drops. U, Backspace or Ctrl+Z undo, H asks for a hint, R restarts, L opens the grove list and Esc puts a lifted orb back.
