What is Buzz Grid?

Buzz Grid is a sudoku puzzle where each stage asks you to complete a grid so no number repeats in any row, column or box. Boards come in three sizes, 4×4, 6×6 and 9×9, and the last six stages switch to killer rules: dotted cages carry a total, and almost nothing is printed. Every stage has a single answer reachable by pure logic, checked by the game's own solver, and a wrong digit never sticks to the board.

How to play Buzz Grid

Goal: Fill every open square with the right number before your third slip.

  1. Tap an empty square to select it; its row, column and box light up.
  2. Tap a digit on the pad, or type it, to place it. A digit that breaks the answer bounces off and costs one of your three drops.
  3. Switch on Notes to pencil in candidates; placing a correct digit wipes it from the notes it rules out.
  4. In killer stages, make the numbers in each dotted cage add up to the total in its corner, without repeats.

Tips & tricks

  1. Scan a full row, column and box together: on 4×4 boards one glance usually leaves a square only one option.
  2. Watch the small counter under each pad digit; a 1 means that number has exactly one place left on the board.
  3. Cage totals at the extremes are gifts: on 9×9, a pair of squares adding to 4 can only be 1 and 3.
  4. Inside a 3×3 box, if a digit's notes all sit on one line, cross it off the rest of that line outside the box.
  5. Spend your free first hint early on a hard 9×9 stage to learn the pattern, then keep the rest for emergencies.

Frequently asked questions

Who is Flick in Buzz Grid?

Flick is the firefly helper who glows in the panel under the board. Flick reads out the result of each move, brightens when you finish a row, column, box or cage, and looks worried after a slip. When you ask for a hint, Flick's panel turns into the step-by-step explanation.

How many slips are allowed in a Buzz Grid stage?

Two. The third wrong digit ends the stage, and a wrong digit is never written, so the board stays clean. If you prefer to play without that pressure, turn on Gentle mode in Settings; slips are still tallied for stars, but the stage keeps going.

Which Buzz Grid stages use killer sudoku rules?

Stages 25 to 30. The first three are 6×6 boards and the last three are 9×9, with 25 to 27 cages on the big boards and between 0 and 5 printed digits. Each cage total sits in its top-left corner, and its digits never repeat.

Does a Buzz Grid hint just fill in a square?

Not straight away. It first explains up to four reasoning steps from the digits already on your board, highlighting the cells involved, and only the last step offers a button that writes the digit. Your first hint in a stage is free; each later one removes a star.

Is there guessing involved in Buzz Grid?

No. Every stage was generated with a unique answer and replayed by a logic solver that never guesses, using singles, cage sums, pointing, box-line and pair steps. The hardest classic boards, stages 22 to 24, are the first to need pair reasoning.
