Volt Treads
Steer Volt, a neon tank whose cannon is welded at 9°, across 20 hillside battles: the slope under you sets every shot, and 4 bosses guard the regions.
What is Volt Treads?
Volt Treads is a single-player tank duel game played from the side, where the ground itself is your aiming tool. Volt's cannon cannot tilt, so you find the right firing spot by rolling up or down a hill until the dotted guide points at the target. Opponents give you a fair warning: a barrel lights up for 0.6 seconds before a flat shot, or 1.1 seconds plus a red ring for a mortar shell, and its aim is locked from the first glow. Clear every enemy, roll to the flag, and chase three stars per battle.

How to play Volt Treads
Goal: Win all 20 battles across Clover Hills, Sunset Dunes, Frost Pass and Ember Ridge, ideally with half your armour left and under the par time for three stars.
- Press a drive key or tap ◀ ▶ to roll out; the battle clock waits until you move or shoot.
- Read the ten white dots in front of the cannon: they trace the first 0.45 seconds of the next shell.
- Nudge forward or back on the hill until the dots line up with the enemy hull, then fire.
- When an enemy barrel lights up, change position: its shot goes where you were when the glow began.
- Pick up the crates with a green cross when your armour runs low; each one repairs 30.
- Once the last enemy tank is down, drive to the flag to finish the battle.

Tips & tricks
- Fire the moment you see an enemy's glow end: it has just shot, and reloading takes it 2.4 seconds or more.
- Wait until your armour is 70 or lower before grabbing a crate, since a repair never pushes armour past 100.
- A red barrel next to a group of enemies is worth a shell: its 3.2 m blast can hit several of them for up to 34 each.
- On the Frost Pass ice, let go of the drive key early. Grip there is a fifth of normal and Volt slides well past where you stopped pressing.
- If a mine starts blinking in Ember Ridge, keep rolling instead of braking: you have 0.55 seconds to clear its 2.6 m blast.
Frequently asked questions
Why does Volt sometimes not fire straight away in Volt Treads?
The turret is turning. Volt's turret swings to face whichever side the nearest awake enemy is on, which takes 0.35 seconds, and the cannon stays silent until it finishes. The gun also needs 0.85 seconds to reload after each shot; a ring on the touch Fire button fills as it reloads.
How much damage does one shell do in Volt Treads?
A direct hit takes 26 armour off an enemy tank. A shell that lands close instead bursts in a 1.7 m radius and deals 35 to 90 percent of that, more the nearer it lands. Your own shells never hurt Volt, so firing at a tank right in front of you is safe.
When do enemy tanks start shooting in Volt Treads?
Each enemy sleeps at its post until Volt comes within 24 m or one of your shells hits it. Once awake, an enemy outside the screen shows a marker at that edge: dark when idle, yellow while it aims a flat shot and red while a mortar shell is on its way.
How does the ice in Frost Pass change driving in Volt Treads?
Track grip on ice drops from 1.1 to 0.22, about a fifth, so Volt keeps sliding after you let go and takes longer to stop or turn around. Plan your firing spot before you reach the ice, and use the dry ground on either side to brake.
How is the par time decided for each Volt Treads battle?
Par comes from a computer pilot that wins the battle with no input delay: its finishing time is multiplied by 1.3 and rounded up to the next 5 seconds. That puts par between 30 and 115 seconds depending on the battle, and beating it earns one of the three stars.
Can every Volt Treads battle really be won?
Yes. Each of the 20 battles is checked by an automated pilot that must win it even with up to 3 frames of input lag. From the third battle of every region, the same check also confirms that simply holding forward and fire the whole way loses, so careful driving matters.
What does the Volt tank look like in Volt Treads?
Volt is a night-purple tank with lime neon edges, tail fins and a pink visor, drawn only on ZotaGame. It shares the exact size, armour, speed and reload of the tanks in other versions, so the battles and their par times play out the same.
