What is Glimmer Links?

Glimmer Links challenges players to establish clean topological connections between matching colored terminals across grid-based playfields. Every pair must link via orthogonal steps while bypassing impenetrable slate and wooden obstacles. With lines claiming exclusive cell ownership, careful spatial forecasting is essential to prevent deadlocks and ensure that mandatory Glow Star checkpoints are properly collected within the allotted move cap.

How to play Glimmer Links

Goal: Connect every terminal pair and route paths through all glowing stars before exhausting your move allowance to secure a three-star rating.

  1. Select any glowing orb on the grid and drag across adjacent squares to plot a route toward its paired partner.
  2. Keep pathways strictly orthogonal; diagonal movements, self-intersecting loops, and crossing other colored tracks are prohibited.
  3. Ensure your planned routes pass directly over all mandatory Glow Stars distributed across the level.
  4. Release your pointer upon reaching the target orb to commit the path and deduct one move from your counter.
  5. Backtrack along your drag line or use Undo to lift a line if you need to liberate space for another color.
  6. Achieve complete grid connectivity within the bonus move limit to earn the top three-star rating.

Tips & tricks

  1. Begin by routing along the outer borders of the board to preserve precious central real estate for complicated paths.
  2. Unfinished path previews cost nothing to abandon: release in open tiles to reset your draft without losing a turn.
  3. Prioritize pairs that have Glow Stars directly situated between them to lock down critical junctions early.
  4. Restart is completely free and instant, making it the perfect tool to wipe the slate clean if a layout goes awry.

Frequently asked questions

What happens if two colored lines need to occupy the same square in Glimmer Links?

Only one color line may inhabit any given grid cell at a time. If two paths conflict, you must detour one of the routes around the other or re-route through an alternate opening on the board.

How does the move penalty system function when using hints in Glimmer Links?

Activating a hint does not consume any of your remaining moves. Instead, each hint used slightly reduces your score calculation, meaning earning 3 stars requires finishing the puzzle with zero hint assists.

Do Glow Stars need to be connected by a specific color line in Glimmer Links?

No, any valid colored connection may pass through a Glow Star. The requirement is simply that a finalized path traverses the star's tile before the puzzle can be registered as completed.

Does using the Undo feature refund spent moves in Glimmer Links?

No. The Undo function lifts the most recently committed colored track from the board so you can redesign the layout, but the move already expended remains logged on your counter.

What differentiates the four worlds in Glimmer Links?

Across the 60 levels, each world introduces greater grid dimensions and strategic complexity: Sunny Meadow starts on 4x4 and 5x5 grids, Candy Garden adds blocker stones, Sky Park expands to 6x7 with multiple stars, and Cozy Toy Room culminates in dense 7x7 logic challenges.
